Dr. Ricardo Alvarado

Dr. Ricardo Alvarado, also known to his patients as "Dr. A," earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2005. He continued his post-graduate training at UTHSCSA, first completing three years of intensive surgical training before pursuing and finishing an Anesthesiology residency. Following this, Dr. A completed a post-residency fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at UTHSCSA, where he also received advanced track training, further refining his expertise in complex pain management.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Alvarado is committed to ensuring his patients fully understand their treatment options, fostering a personalized and compassionate care experience. He is highly skilled in the latest interventional techniques, including traditional fluoroscopic methods, advanced ultrasound-guided procedures, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulator placements, IV infusion therapies, and minimally invasive surgical approaches for spinal canal stenosis.
